Buckinghamshire Council logo

We want to understand whether residents who aren’t eligible for an Energy Doctor visit would be interested in paying for this service and the installation of suitable Low- Cost Easy Retrofit Resource Efficiency (LCERRE) measures.

Buckinghamshire Council’s Energy Doctors currently help eligible residents improve the energy efficiency of their home, free of charge as the scheme is fully funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Our Energy Doctors can:

  • advise on ways that households can reduce energy consumption and costs
  • provide advice on available support (including funding and grants)
  • put in place suitable low-cost easy retrofit resource efficiency (LCERRE) measures

Every year, households that have received an Energy Doctor visit are saving an average of:

  • 1,407 kWhs, £130 and 0.29 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) from energy saving measures
  • 6,557 litres, £18, and 2.4 kgs CO2e from water saving measures

More information about the scheme and who is eligible can be found at buckinghamshire.gov.uk/energy-dr

The eligibility criteria for the Energy Doctor scheme has have been developed to support households most in need of advice and measures to reduce energy and water consumption and costs.

Why are we asking you to complete this survey?

To build upon the success of the Energy Doctor scheme, we would like to understand whether residents who aren’t eligible would be interested in paying for an Energy Doctor visit and any suitable Low-Cost Easy Retrofit Resource Efficiency (LCERRE) measures.

The proposed service would be available to all residents across Buckinghamshire. From the LCERRE measures typically installed in residents’ homes it’s estimated that the savings made would cover the cost of an Energy Doctor visit in seven years (which is quicker than the typical payback periods from photovoltaic solar and external wall insulation).

The survey consists of four questions and should take less than five minutes to complete. Your survey responses will be anonymous.
