2. Proposed addition to the conservation area: number 18, Townside
The exclusion of this cottage previously from the conservation area appears to have been an oversight, as the thatched witchert cottage and its boundary wall are an integral part of the character of Townside at this point. The cottage is unlisted but considered to be a nondesignated heritage asset, with an appealing vernacular that epitomises the local style.
