Calvert Green Neighbourhood Area consultation

Overview

Calvert Green Parish Council are planning to create a Neighbourhood Development Plan (also known as a Neighbourhood Plan) for their local area.

A Neighbourhood Plan is a document which sets planning policies at a local level and so, it’s important that the local community is involved in each stage of the Plan’s creation.

The first step of this process is to define the ‘Neighbourhood Area’ that the Plan will cover and apply to the Council for approval.

The proposed Calvert Green Neighbourhood Area covers the whole of Calvert Green Parish Council area and a small part of the neighbouring parish of Charndon.

The reasons why Calvert Green Parish Council want to include part of the neighbouring parish are set out in their application letter attached below. The proposed Neighbourhood Area is outlined in the following map.

What happens next

Once the consultation is closed, we will review the comments and decide whether to approve the proposed Neighbourhood Area.

The declaration of a Neighbourhood Area would mean that Calvert Green Parish Council could go on to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan for the specified area.
