Overview
We want to hear your views on proposals to split Bierton, Broughton and Kingsbrook Neighbourhood Area into 2 or 3 separate neighbourhood areas.
A neighbourhood area determines the area a neighbourhood plan will affect.
In September 2016, Bierton Parish Council applied for their parish council area to be designated a neighbourhood area. In 2020, the Parish of Bierton was split into 3 areas:
- Bierton Parish
- Kingsbrook Parish
- Broughton Hamlet Parish
On the 27 June 2023, Bierton Parish Council applied for its new parish to be designated as a standalone neighbourhood area (PDF 0.87MB).
Neighbourhood area proposals
To designate a neighbourhood area for Bierton Parish only, we need to split the existing neighbourhood area (PNG 0.17MB) into either 2 or 3 areas:
- proposal to split the existing neighbourhood area into 2 neighbourhood areas:
- one area with only Bierton Parish
- another area with both Kingsbrook Parish and Broughton Hamlet Parish
- map of the proposed 2 neighbourhood areas (PNG 0.15MB)
- proposal to split the existing neighbourhood area into 3 neighbourhood areas:
- one area with only Bierton Parish
- a second with only Kingsbrook Parish
- a third with only Broughton Hamlet Parish
- map of the proposed 3 neighbourhood areas (PNG 0.15MB)
We want to know which proposal local residents and organisations support.
