Mobile Homes Site Licensing Fees Policy

To what extent do you agree or disagree that there should be a harmonised approach to fees for the licensing of mobile home sites across the Buckinghamshire Council area?
To what extent do you agree or disagree with our method for calculating the proposed fees?

We are proposing a banding structure based on the number of pitches of the site as the most appropriate and proportionate approach. This approach is supported by government guidance (Mobile Homes Act 2013: a guide for local authorities on setting licence fees - GOV.UK - Section G, Option 2).

To what extent do you agree or disagree with the level of the proposed fees?

The method used to calculate the fees for each band is supported by government guidance (Mobile Homes Act 2013: a guide for local authorities on setting licence fees - GOV.UK). It is in accordance with the provisions of the Mobile Homes Act 2013 which allows a local authority to include all reasonable costs, including administrative costs, officer visits to the site, travel costs, consultations, meetings, undertaking and informal advice.
