Beaconsfield A355 Laybys - Vehicle Access consultation

During this Statutory Consultation, we received 11 reesponses to the proposals. 18.18% were in favour of the proposals, 72.73% were against the proposals and 9.09% were undecided on how they felt on the proposals. A moratorium on Traffic Regulation Orders prevented any decisions being made on this proposal, and a further Statutory Consultation will need to be conducted. Those who responded to the Statutory Consultation have been contacted and advised another Statutory Consultation will be held regarding the restriction of motor vehicles in the laybys referred to. We intend on conducting the Statutory Consultation in late Spring 2021.
Overview
We propose to put in place the legal order that prevents motor vehicle access to two laybys located off the A355, north of Beaconsfield.
This measure is being proposed due to the numerous incidents of hazardous waste materials being dumped at these locations, including asbestos waste.
These proposals are being put forward in order to stop the dumping of hazardous waste and ensure the safety of the general public.
