Buckinghamshire Highways originally proposed to introduce a 30mph speed limit along the B474 Penn Road, Knotty Green from the junction with Clay Street / Witheridge Lane in a southerly direction to the existing 30mph terminal signs, for a length of 1.3 miles.

From the number of responses received, majority of those supported the proposal (86.76%).

We did

Following the consultation, Buckinghamshire Highways presented its findings to Buckinghamshire Council with the recommendation to introduce a 30mph speed limit, but only for the section between the pub 'The Lion of Beaconsfield' (formerly the Red Lion), in a south - easterly direction towards the existing 30mph terminal signs, for a distance of 0.73 miles.

Buckinghamshire Highways is currently awaiting implementation dates from its contractor before the Traffic Regulation Order is introduced.

Overview

It is proposed to reduce the speed limit along a section of Penn Road, Beaconsfield from the current 40mph to a proposed 30mph Speed limit, from the junction with Penn Green (existing change from 30mph to 40mph) for approximately 2km to a point just west of Clay Street.
