Several residents approached Bierton Parish Council expressing their concerns with regards to a parking issue at Burcott Lane, Bierton.

It was stated that parking close to the junction has been causing obstructions, and cars turning into Burcott Lane are often faced with traffic head on who are trying to approach the junction with Aylesbury Road.

Following which, a proposal to restrict parking was put forward to Transport for Buckinghamshire for consideration.

This proposal being put to Statutory Consultation consists of No Waiting At Any Time restrictions (double yellow lines) at Burcott Lane’s junction with A418 Aylesbury Road.

The intentions of the restriction proposed is to alleviate congestion at the junction and improve safety for all motorists using the junction

What happens next

We will review all responses to this consultation and prepare a report, which will be considered by the Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for Transportation. They will make a decision on the proposal.
