Churchway, Haddenham Proposed Speed Limit Reduction
Overview

We are seeking your views on our proposal to extend the existing 30mph speed limit on Churchway Haddenham, by approximately 160m. The speed limit reduction has been proposed to be adjacent to the housing development.
Background and Our Aim
A request has come from the nearby new development on Churchway, Haddenham for a speed limit change to reduce the existing 50mph down to 30mph across the entrance to the new development to connect with the existing 30mph already in place.
Buckinghamshire Highways has been asked to implement the proposed 30mph under a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO), which will also reduce the length of the existing 50mph TRO to end just before the development (heading into Haddenham). In addition to the legal process to formally change the speed limit, we would also install / replace any terminal or repeater signs to reflect the new limit, following this consultation and once a formal decision has been made.
The below table details the location and proposal being put forward:
| Road Name (And Extents) | What are we proposing? |
|---|---|
| Churchway, Haddenham (From the Balancing Pond to the Sewage Pumping Station, for a length of approximately 160 metres) | Reducing the speed limit from 50mph to 30mph |
