We did

Following the Informal Consultation, we shared the results with Elected Members for Aylesbury South - East.

We have amended the 'No Loading Mon - Sat 8am - 10pm' restriction to the following:

All other restrictions will be taken forward to Formal (Statutory) Consultation, which is due to commence on 18th December 2024 and will run until 17th January 2025.

Overview

Buckinghamshire Highways are proposing to implement a number of parking restrictions on several roads in the Elm Farm Estate in Aylesbury. These restrictions would be aimed at supporting the bus operators that service the estate. In addition, the restrictions aim to regulate the parking & movement of vehicular traffic outside the school, and enable to improve the turnover of available parking spaces outside of the local amenities.

We would like to hear your views on the proposals, as part of this Informal Consultation. Your responses will help the Council understand the local parking needs of the community, and will assist the final proposals, which will be considered as part of the future Statutory Consultation.

Our Proposals

As a result of the issues raised by the bus operators, we have proposed several types of restrictions across various roads in the area.

What happens next

We will consider all the responses and develop the parking proposals based on the comments received from residents and businesses.

If the results show that amendments to these proposals are required, then we will begin the process of changing these proposals. Once done, we will then undertake a Formal (Statutory) Consultation, where we will once again contact you to seek your views.

All responses to this informal consultation will be reviewed, further consultations will be required in order for a formal decision to be made on any proposed restrictions by the Head of Highways and Cabinet Member for Transport.
