Overview

Transport for Buckinghamshire logo

We are proposing to introduce two build-outs along Lower Way, Great Brickhill. In this consultation we invite you to consider and comment on the proposals.

The build-outs are being introduced to reduce speed and create a safer environment for all Non-Motorised Users within the 200 metres length of Lower Way which has no footway, where pedestrians have to mix with traffic on the carriageway.

The work will involve installing two build-outs with street lighting along Lower Way:

  • one near property No.37
  • one opposite property No.43 (near footpath to No.8)

Location of the two build-outs on Lower Way

Appendix A – Location of build outs proposed at Lower Way, Great Brickhill

In addition, we are also installing street lighting column within each build out island; and ‘Narrow Road’ signs near property No.46 and opposite Naisby Drive to advertise the start of the narrowed carriageway beyond that point.

Please see the consultation plan below for more information. These are also available to view at Great Brickhill Parish Council Horsepond, Great Brickhill, Milton Keynes, MK17 9RT; and The Gateway, Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, HP19 8FF.
