Keep Hill Woods, High Wycombe Highway Improvements
Overview
We would like to hear your views on a number of highway improvements on Warren Wood Drive, High Wycombe, near the junction with Keep Hill Drive and Lime Avenue. Buckinghamshire Highways are proposing to introduce a raised table crossing on Warren Wood Drive, High Wycombe, in order to support activities such as walking, cycling, wheeling and horse riding between the woodland and The Rye.
In addition to these works, we will also be extending the existing Double Yellow Lines to maintain visibility for those crossing the road.
Background & Our Aims
The improvements are part of the Council's adopted plan - High Wycombe Local Cycling & Walking Infrastructure Plan.
The Keep Hill Woods pathway improvements aim to improve the connection between the new developments and The Rye. More information about the Keep Hill Woods Project can be found here: Keep Hill Woods pathway improvements | Buckinghamshire Council.
The planned works on Warren Wood Drive will include the installation of a new raised table crossing just west of the junction with Keep Hill Drive and Lime Avenue. Further to the installation of the raised table, additional works will include:
- Cutting back vegetation at both sides of the footway
- Installation of new tactile pavings
- Carriageway resurfacing at the location and minor repairs
- Extension of existing Double Yellow Lines on the south western carriageway by approximately 14.3 metres.
