Kingsbury, Aylesbury Experimental Traffic Regulation Order

Overview

Following our previous consultation in February 2024 to ask for your views regarding the amendment and introduction of parking and movement restrictions within Aylesbury Town Centre, in line with our regeneration works, we are now proposing to implement an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) across Kingsbury as per the Council's Key Decision Report.

This experimental order will remain in operation for up to 18 months, with this public consultation open for comments for six months from 18th December 2024.

Our Proposal

The ETRO Proposal is aimed to introduce / remove the following restrictions in Kingsbury:

1. Introduce a dedicated 24/7 'Taxis Only' bay opposite George Street junction.
    
2. Removal of existing 'No Waiting at any time except for Taxis' and 'Loading Only' bays between Lloyds Bank and Kingsbury Newsagents, and relocation of existing Pay and Display bays from the junction with George Street.

With Experimental Traffic Regulation Orders, we have the ability to amend the restrictions if you are not happy with them, up to a period of 18 months before a decision will need to be made on making them permanent or removing the proposals.
