Proposal of Pedestrian Crossings on A4154 Woodside Road

Overview

 

Buckinghamshire Highways is proposing to introduce/upgrade pedestrian crossings on the A4154 Woodside Road in Amersham, including at the junction with Plantation Road. Existing parking restrictions will also be amended to enhance the overall road safety.

There have been a number of injury collisions occurred within the scheme extents since last 5 years from 2018 to 2022.The aim being to reduce risk and severity of collisions and improve the safety of vulnerable road users (pedestrians) on A4154 Woodside Road, several proposals have been made and are listed below:

Woodside Road (in an easterly direction from outside No.164-168) & (In a westerly direction from outside No.191-193) & (in an easterly direction from outside No.84) & (In a westerly direction from outside No.119)

Revocation (Removal) of No Waiting between Monday and Friday between the hours of 11am and 12pm (Single Yellow Line)

What happens next 

We will consider these responses and prepare our post - consultation report (known as a Key Decision Report). The Leader will review the report and make a decision about the proposals. 

The results of the consultation and the Council's decision will be published on this webpage via 'We Asked, You Said, We Did'. This page will also include a sealed Traffic Regulation Order once we know that these proposals will go ahead.

Statutory Consultees will be informed of the decision once it has been made, via the website.
