Wing Puffin Crossing

Overview

Buckinghamshire Highways are proposing to introduce a Puffin Crossing on the A418 Aylesbury Road, Wing.

A Puffin Crossing is proposed to enhance the safety of pedestrians and better facilitate pedestrian movement. Due to the suburban and residential setting of the proposed crossing and the close proximity to The Cottesloe School, this scheme seeks to benefit both local residents and students when crossing at this location.

We want to hear the views of residents on our proposals. We will also contact statutory consultees.

What we are proposing / consulting on

The Wing Puffin Crossing Scheme proposes to introduce a Pedestrian-controlled Traffic Light Crossing on the A418 Aylesbury Road, Wing. The proposed Puffin Crossing will be located between two existing bus stops close to the junction between Church Street and the A418. 

We will notify Thames Valley Police of this intention.

What happens next

We will consider all the responses and prepare a report. The Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport will review the report and make a decision about the proposed scheme.
