Priority 1: Increasing access to the curriculum

Together with schools and settings, we have responsibility to improve access to education for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by:

an increased focus on high-quality adaptive teaching
the graduated approach (assess-plan-do-review)
early support

The responsibilities are outlined on pages 6 to 8 of the draft Accessibility Strategy.
