Over the past few months we’ve been listening to children and young people, their parents, carers and families, to understand their needs and aspirations for the future.
We’ve also worked with professionals from health services, education, social care and the voluntary sector, gathering their ideas.
In this consultation, we now invite you to comment on the work we’ve done so far, which will be the basis for a new SEND and Inclusion Strategy for 2020 to 2025.
The strategy is being created jointly by Buckinghamshire families, public services and voluntary and community organisations. This Strategy is very important – it will shape our future plans for children and young people with SEND.
Please let us have your views by completing our online survey below. The information you provide here will only be used for this consultation. It will remain confidential and be stored securely in line with data protection laws.
We will also be holding some consultation events and full details of these are listed below.
We will carefully consider all the responses we receive to this consultation.
Based on what we learn, we’ll review the strategy before it’s presented to the Integrated Service Board (ISB) and the Children and Young People’s Partnership, for approval.
The ISB will then put in place some actions to help achieve the aims of the strategy.
