We received 7 responses to this consultation, none of which were opposed to the proposal. We reviewed the feedback and no changes were made to our recommendations.

The Council Leader agreed the proposed traffic-calming scheme for Dadford Village go ahead.

We anticipate the works will start in November 2020 and we will provide advance warning of this to local residents.

We would like to hear your views on our proposals to introduce traffic-calming on Dadford Road in Dadford. This public consultation is part of planning application number 16/02745/AOP.

The developers of land at Silverstone Park, Dadford Road, Biddlesden will fund and complete the construction. The work will consist of:

  • a raised zebra crossing with ramps either side to slow vehicles
  • a raised area of road with ramps either end at the junction of Dadford Road and High Street
  • two gateways placed on verges at each end of the village
  • a stretch of road narrowing with white lines and coloured surfacing
  • a stretch of road narrowing where the footway is widened
  • a ‘rumble device’ on the northbound approach to the village, consisting of raised yellow lines painted on the road

What happens next

This consultation is now closed.

All comments we've received will be considered before a report is prepared. This report will go to the Council’s Cabinet Member for Transportation who will make a decision on the proposal. 

Consultees will be informed of the decision once it has been made.
