A40, High Street - West Wycombe - Double Yellow Lining

We asked
Buckinghamshire Highways asked residents and business owners for their views on introducing new sections of No Waiting at Any Time (Double Yellow Lines) along High Street, West Wycombe, providing more space for vehicles to cross a pinch point.
You said
Following the consultation, a total of 33 people had responded. Overall, the majority opposed the proposal on the basis that it will have an negative impact on local businesses and residents.
We did
Buckinghamshire Council reviewed all the feedback and submitted a report to the Council for a decision (which can be viewed here: Decision - A40 High Street, West Wycombe: proposed double yellow lines (Decision to be taken) - Modern Council - decision dated 14th January 2025).
Buckinghamshire Highways has now implemented the restrictions, which has been confirmed by a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO), which went live on Friday 8th August 2025.

Overview
We are proposing to introduce a parking/waiting restriction along A40 High Street, West Wycombe. The parking/waiting restrictions are to be enforced through the means of double yellow line. Double yellow lines are to span outside Swann Inn and The Apple Orchard Café. This is to provide more space for vehicles to cross at a pinch point location, where currently there is risk of vehicle incursions onto the footway and risk to pedestrians.
