Proposed buildout (traffic calming) on Lodge Lane, Little Chalfont

Overview

We are seeking your views on our proposal for a buildout on Lodge Road, Little Chalfont. 

Background of activity:

• An appeal decision was awarded in favour of a new residential estate in Little Chalfont (Little Chalfont Park). 
• A condition of the appeal consent was the requirement to widen Lodge Lane along its length between the new site access and its junction with Oakington Avenue. 
• As a result, a formalisation of the narrowing under the network rail bridge is required in the form of a buildout to allow priority to be given to north bound traffic. 
• We are required to consult on these proposals in accordance with our duties under the Highways Act (1980). 
• We are asking for comments in relation to the detail of the proposals to ensure full assessment of the appropriateness of the proposals.
