We are working with Beaconsfield and Chepping Wye Community Board to review parking restrictions on the section of Lakes Lane near to the High Street / A40 (Please refer to map in the attached letter).

The aim of the review is to achieve a balance between parking needs in Lakes Lane, surrounding roads and road safety in the town.

At this ‘informal consultation’ stage we are putting forward some initial proposals. No decision has been made at this point.

What happens next

The purpose of this informal is to ascertain what parking problems are present in this street and the results will feed into a feasibility study that will explore the options available to overcome the problems being experienced.

All responses to this informal consultation will be reviewed.

Further consultations will be required in order for a formal decision to be made on any proposed restrictions by the Head of Highways and Cabinet Member.
