Cressex Road High Wycombe Raised Signalised Crossing

Closed 5 Jan 2024

Opened 8 Dec 2023

Following a review of collision data, Buckinghamshire Highways are proposing to introduce some improvements on the Cressex crossroads in High Wycombe (please see Figure 1 below for location). There have been 5 slight injury collisions and 1 fatal collision since 2018, most of these collisions are due to poor adherence with the green phase for the traffic signals.

Figure 1 - Location of Cressex Road Junction.

Following this review, we are now proposing to install two new raised tables for the toucan crossings on Cressex Road (see Figure 2 below). The aim being, to slow traffic speeds and improve motorists adherence to the green phase for the traffic signals.

We want to hear the views of residents on our proposals. We will also contact statutory consultees.
