Iver Heath Footway Improvements
Overview

Buckinghamshire Highways is working on a planned walking, wheeling and cycling route that will eventually connect Pinewood Studios and Iver Station. The first phase of this new route will be achieved by providing an improved connection between Pinewood Studios and Church Road, via Pinewood Green and Thornbridge Road.
As part of this phase, we are proposing to widen and resurface sections of the existing footway to create shared‑use paths around the Thornbridge Road shops and the Church Road/Parkway junction. The aim is to make it easier and safer for people to travel by walking, wheeling and cycling, supporting greener travel choices and improving connections for local communities and Pinewood Studios’ workforce.
We are seeking your views on converting sections of footway to shared‑use pedestrian and cycle paths.
Background
The Council has recently consulted on a proposal to deliver a new signalised toucan crossing on Pinewood Road. Together with works to be carried out by Pinewood Studios in the Pinewood Green area, this will create a continuous and improved route for walking, wheeling and cycling between Pinewood Studios and the Thornbridge Road shopping area, linking into these proposed footway improvement works between Thornbridge Road and the Church Road/Parkway junction.
