Chalfont St. Giles, Raised Zebra Crossings

Closed 18 Feb 2024

Opened 26 Jan 2024

Overview

Buckinghamshire Highways are proposing to improve two Zebra Crossings by installing both with raised tables along High Street and Deanway in Chalfont St. Giles.

A raised highway table is proposed to enhance the safety of pedestrians by delivering a localised reduction in speed of motorised vehicles. Due to the suburban and residential setting of the proposed crossings, as well as the proximity to commercial sites within the village centre, the scheme seeks to benefit local residents when crossing at this location.

We want to hear the views of the residents on our proposals. We will also contact statutory consultees.

What we are proposing / consulting on

The Chalfont St. Giles Raised Zebra Crossings Scheme seeks to introduce two raised tables at the location of two existing zebra crossings on High Street and Deanway respectively.

We will notify Thames Valley Police of this intention.
